Once your skin has settled and getting used to a regular facial, breakouts should not be an issue. There are several different treatments availabe for acne and speaking to an aesthetician is a great place to start when it comes to exploring treatment options. Peels, LED light therapy and high frequency will all help to address your acne/ spots/ congestion concerns.

We have so many treatment options for aging. First we would establish what you're using in your home care regimen, add to it what we deem necessary, and then we can compliment that with an in-house enzyme or peel to accelerate results. Skincare is long-term so results are not instant but together with one or more of our specialised antiaging treatments, the results will start to be noticable after a few months.

Yes! We love pampering brides. Here are a few things to know about getting a facial before your wedding.

We can not cure acne two days before your wedding. You need to come to us 9 months in advance for a treatment plan. Please do not get a facial a day before your wedding! We'll do it but we hate taking that risk.

A luxary bespoke Facial with relaxing massage, will be both nourishing and give excellant hydration, this is excellent for an extra glow on your special day but we really recommend either a Dermaplane Facial or an Ultrasonic Treatment 7 to 10 days before your big day.

If you already have problem skin, a facial is not the best option before your wedding. At that point, we recommend sticking with what has worked best for you in the past.

You might think that having a bunch of tiny needles stamped into your skin would be painful, but surprisingly it is not. Before treatment you’ll have a topical anaesthetic applied, which will eliminate any discomfort during the process. Everyone who has experienced treatment with the Dermapen has remarked on how pain free it really is, and some have even commented that it’s a little like a rather rough massage.

Yes, the treatment is completely safe. The micro needling treatment does not pierce the skins natural barrier, only penetrating into the epidermis to stimulate collagen production. Local anesthetic cream can be used and/or pain relief, such as paracetamol. Redness in the area is common after the procedure, but subsides quickly. The skin will be sensitive after your treatment. We highly recommend using a high-factor sun block in between treatments. Aloe Vera is recommended to be used after the treatment. You may experience a lightening or darkening of the affected skin, though in most cases this returns to normal after six months.

A tattoo can be faded adequately to re-covered after a couple of sessions. Your practitioner will be able to advise how many sessions you are likely to need during your consultation.

A course of 6-10 treatments is often enough to remove the tattoo depending on the colour and depth of the tattoo ink. More may be required depending on the individual.

To allow the skin to recover between Laser Tattoo Removal sessions, you can only have treatment every 6-12 weeks.

We do not recommend the following methods of tattoo removal because they can cause scarring and have a high risk of infection.

- Tattoo removal creams - these work by dissolving the tattoo using chemicals such as hydroquinone, kojic acid, alpha arbutin and TCA. They cannot completely remove a tattoo, but may reduce its appearance in some cases. - Dermabrasion tattoo removal - this involves using an abrasive device to blast the surface of the skin in order to break down the tattoo and remove the top layers of skin. A local anaesthetic is usually administered as this is a painful method of removal. - Salabrasion - this works in a similar way to dermabrasion but involves applying water and salt in addition to an abrasive device in order to lift and remove layers of skin. - Acid tattoo removal - some people are now using acids, similar to those used in chemical skin peels, to burn away layers of the skin in order to get rid of their tattoos. Many health professionals strongly advise against this method.

A chemical peel is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin is also temporarily more sensitive to the sun.

There are three basic types of chemical peels:

1. Superficial or lunchtime peel: Alpha-hydroxy acid or another mild acid is used to penetrate only the outer layer of skin to gently exfoliate it. The treatment is used to improve the appearance of mild skin discoloration and rough skin as well as to refresh the face, neck, chest or hands.

2. Medium peel: Glycolic or trichloroacetic acid is applied to penetrate the out and middle layers of skin to remove damaged skin cells. The treatment is used to improve age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, freckles and moderate skin discoloration. It also can be used to smooth rough skin.

3. Deep peel: Tricholoracetic acid or phenol is applied to deeply penetrate the middle layer of skin to remove damaged skin cells. The treatment removes moderate lines, age spots, freckles and shallow scars. Patients will see a dramatic improvement in skin appearance. The procedure is used on the face and only can be performed once

The procedure is not recommended for individuals with infections, active skin disease, cut or broken skin, sunburns or active Herpes simplex 1 sores. Other contra-indications include persons who are:

• Nursing or pregnant.

• Have taken Accutane in last six months.

• Have psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis or rosacea.

• Have used Retin-A, Renova, prescription skin care products, products that contain ascorbic acid, bleaching or skin-lightening agents or other acid-based products in the last 48 hours.

Chemicals peels sting but do not cause a great deal of pain, although this can vary from person-to-person. This sensation only lasts for a short period of time whilst the treatment is being performed.

They may cause stinging, redness, irritation and crusting but as the skin begins to heal and adjust all these problems will lessen.

Common side effects are temporary and can include redness, dryness, stinging or burning, slight swelling and reactivation of cold sores. This is not applicable to all cases.

After the treatment there may be redness, swelling and irritation but the use of creams and gels will reduce these effects.

We recommend thast you do not use harsh product on your skin or rub at your skin.

After several days an exfoliation may be required to remove dead skin cells.

Before your treatment, you will have a consultation to assess if you are suitable for fat dissolving injections and discuss any concerns or questions that you may have.  

The treatment involves a series of small injections directly into unwanted fat pockets. The injections may sting for a few seconds, and in some instances a numbing agent may be applied.

You may experience some pain, light bruising or swelling around the injection area for a few days after the treatment.

Sometimes, a congested pore might need to be purged and the massage and cleansing procedure in a facial will trigger your skin to target and heal those areas. If you haven't had a treatment before or haven't had one in some time, a light breakout is always possible. Once your skin has settled and getting used to a regular facial, breakouts should not be an issue. Having a regular facial will help long term to slougth off dead skin cells, deep cleanse, brighten and freshen up your skin tone.

Our skin specialist, Jackie, has extensive knowledge regarding breakouts and acne. She will advise from our specific treatments how to treat, and minimise breakouts. There are several different treatments availabe for acne and speaking to an aesthetician is a great place to start when it comes to exploring treatment options. Peels, LED light therapy and high frequency will all help to address your acne/ spots/ congestion concerns.

We have so many treatment options for aging. First we would establish what you're using in your home care regimen, add to it what we deem necessary, and then we can compliment that with an in-house enzyme or peel to accelerate results. Skincare is long-term so results are not instant but together with one or more of our specialised antiaging treatments, the results will start to be noticable after a few months.

Yes! We love pampering brides. Here are a few things to know about getting a facial before your wedding.

We can not cure acne two days before your wedding. You need to come to us 9 months in advance for a treatment plan. Please do not get a facial a day before your wedding! We'll do it but we hate taking that risk.

A luxary bespoke Facial with relaxing massage, will be both nourishing and give excellant hydration, this is excellent for an extra glow on your special day but we really recommend either a Dermaplane Facial or an Ultrasonic Treatment 7 to 10 days before your big day.

If you already have problem skin, a facial is not the best option before your wedding. At that point, we recommend sticking with what has worked best for you in the past.

-Taking aspirin, ibuprofen or like medications for 1 week prior to appointment.

-Drinking excessive alcohol 24 hours prior to and after the procedure.

-Using Retin A/retinol/AHA skin care products close to eyebrows 2 weeks before and after.

-Getting Botox or fillers a minimum of 2 weeks prior.

Permanent makeup usually lasts between 12 months and 3 years but this will heavily depend on your lifestyle. Sun/sunbeds may have an effect on the results during the immediate healing stages and can prematurely fade your permanent makeup. Certain beauty products can also effect your permanent makeup. We will invite you back for a “perfecting re-evaluation” 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment and I recommend that you leave the same length of time until any holidays. Always use a total block SPF cream to prolong the life of your permanent makeup.

Yes, it’s very safe. The laser energy is selectively absorbed, meaning that surrounding tissues are not affected and there is no lasting damage to the skin.

A topical numbing cream is applied to the area being treated beforehand so no pain should be felt during the treatment, however slight discomfort may be felt over sensitive areas.

The Plasma Pen can treat any area for mole and skin tag removal.

Appointment time is approximately 30-60 minutes with numbing. This can vary depending on the number of moles or skin tags being treated.

Results can be seen immediately although this is just the initial results. True results will develop gradually over the following weeks as the skin heals.

The effects are usually permanent however this procedure is cosmetic and not medical therefor it can not be guaranteed that the mole or skin tag will not grow back.

This treatment removes moles and skin tags down to skin level - we do not extract them at the root below skin level. Extracting at the root is a medical procedure that would usually require stitches and possibly leave a scar.

After the treatment, the area will heal over 3/4 days, however in extreme cases it can take around 2 weeks for the area to go back to normal.
